Hello everyone,
I apologize for being away for a while. I've been buried trying to finish a new picture book, the second for me as author and illustrator. It's called "Bedtime for Bear". I'm finally finished. The book will be out next year. Here are a couple of the paintings. Happy New Year.
Your work is so inspiring to me! Everytime you post something new I immediately want to go out and paint.
ReplyDeletethey look amazing! Thanks for posting :)
ReplyDeleteI will keep an eye out for Bedtime for Bear! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for it! The illustrations look amazing :) (as always)
ReplyDeletePoor Bear needs a lock on his door... :)
ReplyDeleteDid you do the lettering for this book as well as the drawings?
I mean, I know you wrote the text, but did you actually write it in? (Sorry if that's confusing)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the book! It looks to be an action-packed picture book. Fun! Love your illustrations..and I agree Lizbeth Zwerger is awesome. I just bought her Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales book and it is a treasure. All the best to you in 2010.
ReplyDeleteThis book looks really fun! I attended your presentation at the Orem library a few years back and also looked up Lisbeth Zwerger after you mentioned her. Her art is Stunning! Big fan of yours Brett, thanks for everything and keep up the excellent work!
ReplyDeleteNice drawing. I like your style.
ReplyDeletewho influences you?
what material did u use for drawing?
your work and your blog are looking great!
ReplyDeleteLooks good... It's a shame I don't live in the States, I'd buy the book.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for your answer... About the BW drawings I figured as much, but I never thought you'd use oils for the color illustrations, just gouache and/or acrylics. Gotta try acrylics now, I haven't used them in years!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really fun. I'm excited to check it out! Big fan of yours, keep up the excellent work!
