I work with an editor and an art director at the publisher. I first present ideas and then they give me suggestions on how to improve the pictures. We work together until everyone is happy with the sketch. For a book like "Mt. Majestic" it usually takes me 3 to 4 months to complete.Brett Helquisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13907627587447199070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003998966398196081.post-49215779289859470332013-05-29T10:34:59.599-07:002013-05-29T10:34:59.599-07:00Hi! I also really like the drawing lessons. My favorite thing to draw is flowers and nature. I am reading The Rise and Fall of Mount Majestic. My dad is a librarian and I have an advance copy so the artwork is just sketches. Does the author get to tell you to make changes to the pictures? I really like the picture of King Lucas shaking the pepper shaker over the soup. How long does it take you to finish all the pictures for one book? ~Lenny (and her mom)Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15522550938492199967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003998966398196081.post-80788631049735171192013-05-20T09:56:50.186-07:002013-05-20T09:56:50.186-07:00Thanks, Aida.
